We are happy to kickoff this new local collaboration between Free Press Media and Farrell Distributing. Five episodes are currently available and we wanted to celebrate with a party for our friends and local beer lovers. Stop down for a bite, a beer and meet the podcast team.
It's the Beer Talking" is a podcast made for casual beer drinkers and craft beer enthusiasts alike.
Created from the perspective of beverage distributors, the show offers insights into the beer industry from the brewing tank to the final aluminum can design. It features interviews with local craft breweries as well as national brands and introduces the audience to the scientific processes behind specialty brews such as "goses."
This beer-related podcast is co-produced by Free Press Media and Farrell Distributing. Jeff Baker, Free Press beercolumnist and in-house educator at Farrell Distributing, brings a wealth of scientific knowledge to the show through his love of the bacteria lacto-bacillus. Jason Strempek, also of Farrell Distributing, uses his sophisticated nose palette and sipping skills to identify flavors and hidden textures in the beers they sample. Together, they are the duo to go to when seeking out new beer flavors to try.
Each episode features a segment called "What's in the Fridge" where Jeff and Jason sample and compare two beers, an interview with a leader in the brewing industry, and "The Last Sip," a wrap up of the lessons learned during the show.
Jeff and Jason create a fun and entertaining podcast that is accessible to beer drinkers at any level.
The first four episodes can be found on iTunes, Soundcloud, or TuneIn.
