Composers and musicians from around the region will gather at Burlington’s ArtsRiot for a live, improvisational, and interactive electronic music event. Throughout the day, hosts of the award-winning Kalvos and Damian’s New Music Bazaar (Dennis Bathory-Kitsz and David Gunn) will be interviewing composers and performers. These conversations will add insight and context to the variety of practices and styles on display, offering a great introduction to the North Country’s contemporary electronic music scene. NCEMF is dedicated to presenting and promoting the diverse music found in the north country, which we define as the region of the United States and Canada that is north and east of Albany, NY.

NCEMF is presented by TURNmusic in cooperation with the South End Art Hop, and hosted by Kalvos & Damian, who will interview composers and performers live between sets. NCEMF is organized by conductor and TURNmusic’s director Anne Decker, Vermont composer Dennis Bathory-Kitsz, and New York composer-performer David Morneau.
