ROC Inc.
Refugee Outreach Club Inc. is proudly presenting our second annual fundraiser featuring Sabouyouma on Saturday, June 30th, at ArtsRiot in Burlington, Vermont. Sabouyouma is led by Ousane Camara from Guinea, West Africa. Based out of Burlington they combine traditional West African dance music with contemporary funk and reggae. The event will begin at 8 PM with Sabouyouma taking the stage at 9:00 PM. This event would not be possible without the support from Vermont Council on World Affairs with whom we share the goal of connecting Vermont to the World and the World to Vermont.

R.O.C. Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that manages and supports high school and college chapters all of which aim to develop leaders in our community through multi-cultural relationships. R.O.C. Inc. strives to connect young adults around the world through education, curiosity, and service.

Four years ago, R.O.C. was a single chapter at Champlain Valley
Union High School. It then expanded to four other high schools, and a college. R.O.C. Inc. was created as the umbrella organization to maintain quality and standards across programs. In the fall of 2017, we to added two more high schools and two additional Vermont colleges. We also provide stipends for teachers of the Heritage Learning Program who dedicate their time each Saturday with refugee students helping them learn and maintain their native languages. We also just launched an International Cultural Exchange Program in Ghana and Vermont; and an International Health Program in Ghana.
