$10 | $12 DAY OF SHOW

The Sea The Sea (New York)
An Upstate New York based indie folk-pop duo-band featuring what Huffington Post calls, “Two of the loveliest male-female voices you might ever hear this or any other year.” Their 2014 debut release, Love We Are We Love, received praise from NPR, American Songwriter, and No Depression, among others, gathering nearly 10 million streams on Spotify. The animated video for their song "Waiting" sparked viral interest including Buzzfeed, Pitchfork, and inclusion at the international TED 2015 conference. Mountain Stage host Larry Groce calls them "ready to take their place among the best young male/female duos now performing." Their 2016 release, the six-song EP In the Altogether, recently earned features by Apple Music including Best of the Week and A-List Singer/Songwriter.

The DuPont Brothers present: SoundBrother (Burlington, Vermont)
Since 2013, siblings Sam & Zack DuPont have traveled throughout the country performing as the indie-folk duo, The DuPont Brothers. Some highlights of the independent act’s tours include festival plays at SXSW and Grand Point North as well as opening slots in support of grammy award winning musicians: Sturgill Simpson, Blake Mills, Pat Benatar, Suzanne Vega, and Jerry Douglas. After releasing an EP, two full length studio records, and two live albums in tandem with extensive runs all over the Northeast, Mid Atlantic, Southeast and Mid West, the brothers have been inspired to evolve sonically moving forward into 2018. A recent interview with Jordan Adams, music editor of Burlington, VT’s local news source, Seven Days, describes the siblings’ path toward rebranding.“We've been playing around with the idea of doing a name change or side project and a sonic remapping in certain ways,” said Sam, noting that the initial discussion of stirring things up began almost two years ago. "We love the folk thing, [and] we got really into how to make a duo show cool,” said Zack. “But then we started getting a lot of outside influence coming in: rock bands, indie-rock bands, jazz musicians, improvisational musicians — whatever. I think we're just trying to evolve," Zack mused. "Not even trying — it's just happening. It makes a lot of sense. [We'll] keep all those lovely elements we've developed over the years — [like] the tight harmony singing — but definitely incorporate more rhythm." The new year rings in a fresh direction for the duo and expansion into a full band sound. SoundBrother is just that. The most recent side project is an indie-rock outfit featuring long time collaborator Robinson Morse on bass and Dan Davine on drums. Plans to release a debut record in the summer of 2018 are in motion.

Francesca Blanchard (Burlington, Vermont)
French-American singer-songwriter Francesca Blanchard was selected Best Vocalist of 2015 by Vermont weekly Seven Days who hailed her as "a profound, mature talent” who "displays guile and artistic sensitivity that would be the envy of many tunesmiths twice her age. She may be young, but she has an old soul.” (Seven Days)
Born and raised in France, Francesca traveled the globe with her family before settling in the small town of Charlotte in beautiful rural Vermont. Her intimate music, sung in French and English, reflects on her travels, both physical and emotional, and reflects influences ranging from Norah Jones and Carla Bruni to Eva Cassidy and Francoise Hardy.
Francesca has opened for Joan Armatrading, Suzanne Vega, Yuna, Lissie, Caravan Palace and others and performed at the prestigious Francofolies Festival in Montreal in 2013 and 2015. Francesca's rendition of the classic French song “Sous Le Ciel de Paris” was featured on the Putumayo collection Vintage France and her recording of "Petit Papa Noel" appeared on Putumayo’s recent French Christmas collection.
Francesca's first full-length album, Deux Visions, was released on October 2, 2015. It was produced by Montreal singer-songwriter Chris Velan (Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars), mixed by acclaimed producer Jean Massicotte (Lhasa, Patrick Watson, Arthur H, Jorane) and mastered at the prestigious Metropolis Studios in London.
