Lisa/Liza is the lo-fi, psych-folk recording project of Maine-based guitarist, singer and songwriter Liza Victoria. Deserts of Youth is her debut LP, after numerous limited edition cassette and CDr releases. Deserts of Youth is an intimate collection of seven original songs, recorded at home by Victoria, using just her voice and her acoustic guitar.

Friendship is a Philadelphia and Portland, Maine-based band currently comprised of Dan Wriggins, Peter Gill, Andrés Rodríguez, and Mike Cormier. Their 2015 debut LP, “You’re Going to Have to Trust Me”, is a collection of songs written by Wriggins and recorded by the band in Philadelphia.

Most of Wriggins’ characters are isolated losers; they strive for relation and usually fail. Wriggins mumbles their frustrations over the band’s twisted articulation of Americana / down-tuned guitars, steel flights, and drums negotiating between the lounge and the basement. Lyrics and production both recount an irreparably fractured world, albeit with a convincing surface.

Eastern Mountain Time is sort of a country band based out of Burlington, Vermont. Originally intended to be the moniker under which songwriter Sean Hood (Sean Hood & the Great Outdoors, Hello Shark) would perform solo shows and release folk albums, it wasn’t long before Eastern Mountain Time became a kind of steady, four-piece almost rock band.
