Environmental Activist, poets, musicians and story tellers, all gather to help fundraise for 350Vermont
In light of the COP21, 350Vermont invites you to join with community members for a speak-out against environmental economic inequalities. Gideon Commey, an international environmental activist from Ghana, will be speaking alongside other activists to open the evening. There will be a speak out from youth activists of our community, making their voices heard on the economic inequalities of climate change followed by an instrumental band of local Burlington artists.
350Vermont is a non-profit organization in Burlington Vermont dedicated to fighting issues of climate change in our community! Working with different community members and 350 nationally, 350Vermont fights for the rights of community members and our planet!
This event is to help raise awareness and get community members involved in coming together and speaking out about issues of climate change. With COP21(Climate Talks in Paris) happening November 30th through December 11th of this year, 350Vermont believes it is important to come together as a community and get involved in speaking about deep rooted problems surrounding climate change such as the economic injustices that are so deeply embedded in this global issue. There will be key speakers, young environmentalists story-telling and reading poetry, as well as a band to end the night with. You are invited to participate in the speak-out with a response to the prompt of the evening (contact email@example.com if interested) or simply show up, enjoy yourself, have dinner if you please, and show support and solidarity for one of the largest problems the global population faces.
