EVENT & BOOKING QUESTIONS

What does the room rental include?
Anytime you rent ArtsRiot for an event your room rental fee covers the reservation of the date in our calendar, the space itself, tables and chairs, cleaning, licensure, and insurance.

What is the production fee?
The production fee is required for all event bookings and covers the labor cost for a production assistant, assistance with load-in, setup and breakdown of the room, use of our house PA, projector and screen, and stage lights.

Since we have a house full of audio gear and we operate a music venue turning on our speakers is a little more involved. Part of what makes ArtsRiot great for events is the infrastructure we have built but it comes at a cost! Believe us, its totally worth it.

What does a buyout mean?
A buyout happens when a client 'buys out' the restaurant for private use. This means we close to the public. We post these closures in our event calendar and they only happen a handful of times a year!

Outside caterers. Are they allowed? Can I bring my own food and drink?
Unfortunately, no outside food and drink is allowed. The only exception is 3rd party dessert vendors to provide specialty cakes and such and certain caterers that provide dietary options we cannot (i.e. kosher kitchen). We run a restaurant under the same roof as our venue and our Chef, George, and his crew provide amazing catering options.

As for drinks, since we are a premise that holds a liquor license with the State of Vermont we are bound by state law to be the only ones to serve alcohol. Sometimes for certain events special tasting and educational licenses can be obtained for other distributors and manufacturers to pour.

Can I book an event during the day time?
Yes. We host lunches, meetings, and workshops and would love to have you hear during the day. And cook you lunch!

What do I need to rent?
Luckily ArtsRiot comes equipped with all the necessary supplies to host sit-down dinners for up to 100 guests and cocktail style parties for up to 250 people. You don't need to rent anything unless you want to. Some common rentals are linens, special glassware, and custom lighting.

How big is ArtsRiot? How many people can come to my event?
Our capacity for private functions is 75 for a seated meal and 150 for a cocktial style party in the venue. 110 for a seated meal and 250 for a cocktail style party for a buyout.

Can I work with ArtsRiot to host a public event? How about a ticketed event?
Yes! We are always interested in co-producing events or simply opening our doors to 3rd party promoters. For non-music public event inquiries fill our our public event form. For music inquiries shoot a note directly to our talent buyer here.

CATERING QUESTIONS

Wait, does ArtsRiot cater?
Oh yeah! We run a bar catering business called Liquid Arts that handles beverage catering for events throughout the State of Vermont. Click here for more info on Liquid Arts Bar Catering

We also have a food truck. Chef George has created a mobile version of our kitchen out of an old Wonder Bread truck. It now rolls around Vermont vending and catering everything from festivals to weddings.Check our our Food Truck!

ArtsRiot also caters all food and beverage services for all venue rentals and events at ArtsRiot.Info on Private Bookings

Can I buy my own alcohol?
Nope. Sorry, VT state law requires us to purchase all alocohol regardless if your event is at ArtsRiot or if we are catering offsite.

What is it like when your food truck caters an event?
We think it's great. You avoid having to rent a lot of kitchen equipment and we bring our kitchen on wheels.

That said, we do not offer sit-down dinner service from the food truck but we can provide stationary appetizers, passed appetizers and stationed-based dinner offerings for more informal events. We also can serve guests right from the truck itself depending on the venue!

Can I just hire a bartender for my event?
Nope, sorry. In order for us to send out our bartenders to a gig we have to pull a permit for the event and fly under our liquor license.

Can I bring my own food or drinks to my event at ArtsRiot?
Nope, sorry. We handle all food and beverage catering. Some exceptions include dessert vendors and caterers who can accomodate dietary needs that we cannot (i.e. true kosher cooking).

What different bar services are available?
An Open Bar is where you pay a per person price (or a flat rate) and guests can then drink for a pre-determined amount of time.

A Cash Bar is where you pay for labor and setup and then guests pay for their own drinks. Cash and CC's accepted. Please note there is a $1,500 guarantee for all Cash Bars.

How much does it cost?
Ha-hah! It is not that easy. Please fill out an inquiry form on our website to initiate the conversation. We respond quickly and after an initial conversation about the services and menus for your event we can supply an accurate estimate. Submit Catering Inquiry
